Secular Spring Break in Puerto Rico

From March 10-16, 2019, students from the Secular Student Alliance will be traveling to Puerto Rico to assist in the work of rebuilding homes.

Hurricane Maria pounded Puerto Rico in the fall of 2017

In the fall of 2017, Hurricane Irma landed in Puerto Rico with the strongest winds the island has ever seen. Not long after, Hurricane Maria’s 155 mph ferocious winds struck the island, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Many residents were without power for over 10 months and thousands of homes still need major repairs.

If you are interested in being a part of this life-changing experience, please submit the application. Spaces are limited. Each participant will be responsible for their own travel to and from Puerto Rico. Ground transportation, food, and lodging will be provided by AHAH.

If you would like to support students in carrying out this project you can make a tax-deductible donation on our website.

This event is a joint partnership among Secular Student Alliance, All Hands and Hearts, Foundation Beyond Belief, and the American Humanist Association.
