This Week: SSA 2012 Annual Conference, Omni-Funding, Foundation Beyond Belief Internships

SSA 2012 Annual Conference

Notice: Online registration is now closed. We are letting extra late comers register at the door - day to day. Day registrations are $25 bucks each. We cannot guarantee catering options if you use this option.

Excited for our annual conference? The fun festive extravaganza starts in just a few short days! July 6th will be the largest gathering of secular students in the country. Hundreds have registered this year and those attending will not be disappointed at all the things we have planned ! Take a look at our conference schedule where you can take a gander at what activities we'll be up to. If you're going to be there, be sure to RSVP on Facebook!

We now have funding available specifically for student-led conferences and conventions. We have simplified the funding process to make it easier for your group to get funding and we have given you access to greater funding if needed. We offer it as a loan or as a grant, with loans available to offer more money in order to help facilitate the event. For more information, please check out our conference planning page and if you still have any questions, feel free to email Nick at nick@secularstudents.org

Rev. Jonathon Weyer
Jonathan founded  a campus discussion group, The Thomas Society, at The Ohio State University. This group focused on dialogue between Christians and atheists. Such discussions prompted the university to award The Thomas Society and SSA at OSU with a Multicultural Award. Because of this work, the national Secular Student Alliance asked him to be on their speaker’s bureau, the only Christian minister to hold this distinction.
