Annual Conference 2011!
On July 29-31 the Secular Student Alliance will host its Annual Conference on the campus of the Ohio State University. The event will feature a line up of speakers combining rock stars of the secular movement with student leaders. Attendees will have opportunities to socialize and network not only with their peers, but also with some of the nation's most prominent freethought leaders.
What's New This Year?
All of the SSA's employees are either college grads or present college students, so we know how tight money can get for students. That's why this year we are endeavoring to give you more bang for your buck! To register three student members for the Annual Conference would run $117 - which is a bargain for a national conference! However, this year we're introducing group rates! You can register five student SSA members from one affiliate group for just $100! If a student is not a member of the national SSA (not just a member of an SSA affiliate), it's an easy (and inexpensive fix): the student rate for a full year's membership with the SSA is only $10. Just have non-member students go here to join and save on registration costs!
Another schmancy bit of newness this year is that the conference will have breakout sessions. This will provide even more content for newcomers while presenting a whole new element for our conference veterans. Have you already seen one of the talks? No biggie! There will probably be another one going right across the hall!
